elizajaquays's review against another edition
The voices the narrator was using were not great—within Larken’s family they had three very different accents. The writing was stilted: the main character’s name was repeated dozens of times and there was a heavy reliance on telling vs showing. That and the subtle intrinsic fat phobia was enough to make me not want to continue.
Minor: Fatphobia
