The Nail is a reasonably good exploration of a DC Comics world without Superman; Another Nail is a jumbled misstep that does that realities version of Crisis. Couple of things about these books:

1- they're really horny.
2- they're actually kind of offensive to Amish people (or at least, totally don't understand how the Amish lifestyle works)

Which lead to me, by the end of "Another Nail" ( which, in an ironic betrayal of both this series' title and its original Elseworlds conceit, does not in fact feature "another nail"), to just find these comics kind of juvenile. Like, even for comics.

Your art's great, Alan Davis, but your writing is pretty bad. You are clearly very sexually frustrated, and a little bit ignorant. In your view, late 20th century social mores will supersede all raising to the contrary and your Amazo has a Van Dyke which is, admittedly, pretty excellent.

Also your ultimate crisis features...a space worm? Am I understanding that right?

Weird. Maybe just flip through this one. Or at least the second half.
