I had no doubts that Final Offer would be my favorite out of the three in this series so I seriously could not put this down! Cal and Alana were the perfect choice to conclude the dreamland billionnaires because their story served so hard there’s no coming back from this. They were very realistic and relatable in many ways and I loved that for them. Lauren did such a great job writing their story and she definitely knew what people wanted. I stepped down from fantasy looking for a romance read and I chose the right book. It gave me lots of fluff, angst, groveling, DAMN GOOD SMUT (Callahan Kane has such a dirty, slutty mouth idk how many times my jaw dropped fr), then there’s Cami, who was such wonderful addition to their little family. It took me through Cal’s healing, redemption, acceptance, and moving forward to be the better man Alana has always deserved.

Now that I’ve finished Lauren Asher’s books, I have no idea what to do with my life ?

I was so pumped to read Cals books even though I don’t really like second chance romances

I loved seeing Declan and Iris again in this book (their book is still my fave)

********SPOILERS AHEAD*********

The whole town hating him was interesting to me like cause is it a small town but Cal also said it had turned into a city when talking to Wyatt I have no clue I guess it could just have been the ogs that hated him but still

If I was Lana I do not know what I would do about him coming back tbh AND TRYING TO SELL HER HOUSE but also like I probs would of sold it as soon as Cami got into the rich ass school

Cami was cute and i’m glad she wasn’t made into like a to smart child that gives like weirdly good life advice at 5 that authors make their child characters do sometimes

Also thought Lana’s sister would be more involved kinda like how Things We Never Go Over her sister was like a villain you know but i was pleasantly surprised .

I think Cal is probably my favorite Kane brother. The story really dug into some of the emotional abuse all the brother’s went through with their father. I feel like I got to know the main characters much better in this book when compared to the others.
I never quite understood why he couldn’t just tell Lana about the inheritance thing since it would only be in jeopardy if Leo, the lawyer, found out.

The twist ending with the brothers voting on Seth’s shares was something I really didn’t see coming. I don’t believe he really did deserve any of their forgiveness in the end especially with the way he continued to speak to Cal after the AA meetings.

Somehow I knew Cal’s story would be my favourite.

Asher’s depiction of alcoholism is well researched and written with respect for those who struggle with substance abuse.

Alana is a woman after my own heart with her love of baking. I respect her need to put Cami before anyone else, even Cal’s need to get sober.

What can I say? I’m a sucker for a golden retriever boy and a happy ending.
