I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to read Jalala Bonheim's book, Evolving Toward Peace: Awakening the Global Heart.
She speaks from such an authentic, true place of insight and presents the information in a compelling work of true inspiration.
The book encourages people to go inward, to find peace, to stop trying to control everything, to be grateful and to step back from head-thinking and move towards heart-thinking. She addresses how our greedy, materialist society has disconnected humans from the needs our of living surroundings and she presented exercises throughout the book to help encourage the reader to reconnect with themselves and by extension others.
I found so much of this book to be truly visionary and especially the section about the need for relational education.
This is a book that I will continue to reach out to for inspiration and I truly hope that we, as humankind are indeed at the tipping point where we can affect change and move forward with hope, love and peace.
