Unfortunately underwhelming

2 🌶️

Lots of plot holes and things left unresolved. There was way more spice in this book. I enjoy spice but this just felt like a bunch of fillers. I cringed through most of it.  100 pages of this book could’ve been omitted.

by far the best one of the series. emilia finally became not-annoying, and i enjoyed
vittoria
a lot. i wish there had been more dialogue with nonna, because it felt like that was rather easily wrapped up despite the depth of their relationship when the twins were growing up. finally i kind of wish that
emilia had remained without her powers at the end. it felt like there was so much significance in her making that choice, and for the narrative to feel more solid i think it should’ve been permanent. wrath being able to split his power and give her back her powers exactly as they had been before felt a bit deus ex machina esque.

Kingdom of the Feared has officially made it onto my "favorites" list. I literally could not devour this book fast enough, and yet every page turn and big reveal had me reaching for the two previous books and flipping back to piece everything together for myself!
Absolute perfection. Everything you could hope for in a final installment of a much-beloved series.
Wrath and Emilia are everything. Easily one of my favorite book couples ever. They are each other's equal in every way!
All the feelings and stress were totally worth it. I can't praise this book enough. And I'm so looking forward to diving back into this addicting world with Maniscalco's new series! Ah, so stoked.

Explosive 3/4 of this, with so much happening. Really really enjoyed this trilogy but reckon the ending was a bit safe. A couple of things seemed 'resolved' easily and kinda unsatisfying. Some questions not answered or need more info.
I did also think that the level of sexual content in this book was excessive. It almost felt as if the author ran out of plot devices and just put it in to bulk up the book. I think it was unnecessary. Yes it was in the other books too but this one just seemed excessive.
I still enjoyed the overall plot of the book but yeah, some things just took me out of this one.
Solid trilogy and Kerri Maniscalco is still one of my favourite authors to read.
