I read Captain Underpants and the Attack of the Talking Toilets last year, and I decided to now check out the new series of Diaper Baby.

I have to say I think I will be sticking to Captain Underpants. This book was quite disgusting, and yes, I know it was written exactly to be that, but I don't really need to see a giant turd wandering around, ewwww. I am glad no one was around when I read this one. Otherwise I would have had some explaining to do as to why I am reading about poop.

I had quite a laugh though that the boys from Captain Underpants wrote this one instead of what they were supposed to write.

The baby was quite nice though, that is why I kept reading as I was curious about him, what would he achieve next? Would he defeat this villain? What about his parents, how do they feel about their son being a superhero (especially at this young age).

The dog, well in the beginning I didn't like him much, but later on I did quite like him and I was happy with the change he went through. Yay!

The art was also pretty decent.

I also got a bit annoyed at the misspelled words. I know this was written to seem like a kid made this, but was it really necessary? I can just imagine that it might also confuse kids who just started reading.

I did feel sorry for Captain Underpants in this one. Several days must have passed, so why didn't anyone help him out?

I am in no way part of the recommended age group for this book, but did I read it anyway? Multiple times? While procrastinating over other books I needed to read?
Absolutely!
This book is just so cute and lighthearted. I Laughed at it probably much more than a mature person should.
Younger readers (and maybe also older readers) will enjoy this book.

It's confirmed, I had excellent taste as a child. :D Basically this is a 125 page poop joke. I had fun with it. 3 stars

I would have given it five stars if it wasn't for all the spelling mistakes. I understand the author is making it seem like the kids wrote it but as a mom who struggles with spelling I worry about my son reading it and thinking that's how you spell those words

1. Hilarious and so wonky
2. Plot was cliche but done in a interesting manner
3. Loved the connection to the Captain Underpants series
4. Juvenile humor and bad grammar actually helped the story
5. It was fun, quick read

Very funny. Definitely more immature and indecent in comparison to the Captain Underpants books (a character is literally turned into a piece of poop), but funny nonetheless. Silly and entertaining.
The story is much simpler than the Captain Underpants books as well. This is because it is written entirely in comic format. The story fully takes place in George and Harold's imaginations instead of bouncing between reality and "fiction".
Still a good read. I enjoyed it. A great quick read.
