I am genuinely never prepared for this book when I get to it in the series, and I stand by that after reading it again this time.
This book is so good and so much fun but an emotional rollercoaster to read. I love all of the developments that we get with the characters, seeing Hermione stand for House Elf Rights with SPEW (I still cannot believe they left that part out of the movie), and then the entire Triwizard Tournament.
I genuinely think that the book is sO much better than the movie, it makes me sad how many details and entire CHARACTERS that we do not see in the movie. It is mind blowing to me that Winky is completely cut out, as she is genuinely such a fundamental part of the plot and conflict!
But anyways, putting aside my grievances of the differences between the book and the movie, I LOVE THIS BOOK. I love seeing Harry continue to grow and get stronger as both a person and a wizard. Then we see a huge moment for him and Ron when they go through those awkward weeks of anger towards each other, before Ron realizes he was acting absurd to Harry when his name is put into the Goblet of Fire. Then even Harry grows when he tells Ron he does not need to apologize to him for his poor behavior.
In the end, this book will forever be my favorite one of them all because it is honestly the most monumental installment in the series. So much happens, we learn even more about all of these characters, fall even deeper in love with them, & only root for them even more when all hell breaks loose. I rate this book 5/5 stars! 🌟

The themes grow-up with Harry and Co. but reveals the darker underbelly of the authors world view. Hermoine becomes a annoying activist against a real injustice, all problems are explained with Voldemort did it, but not investigated if there are rooted in deeper problems (yeah 2 dark wizards in such short time, but everything is alright in the wizarding world) , a blunt and boring critique against journalism (lazy at best) and a side note om injustices in the fight against injustices....
And no word against the prejudice against muggle or werewolf or giants.....
And don't start thinking about the slavery-issues.....
Besides that, it's written well and as always it builds-up, really good mystery, clues and conclusion.
