- This book is full of mysteries and that's one of the reasons I love it so much. Like what exactly are Voldy and Wormtail up to, who is that man working with them, what was Barty Crouch Sr. doing in Hogwarts, what is Moody trying to do, what is Fred and George's big secret, how is Rita Skeeter finding out confidential info, what are Maxime and Karkaroff's true goals, what is Hagrid up to etc.
- Ron and Harry's first falling out. It makes so much sense, they're just 14 y/o kids here after all. And you can see how absolutely miserable Harry was the entire time. Ron really is the glue that holds the trio together. And the way they made up after realising how silly it all is :")
- The Tournament was super fun to follow and I always forget it's only a small, almost insignificant part of the book. The mysteries take the main focus
- This book introduced us to the most wonderful spell in the universe, the one I wish existed irl, Accio
- I don't understand why Fleur got such less points?? All she did wrong was get her skirt on fire. Others did far worse like stomping the dragon eggs, getting hurt and burnt but she got the least points?? smh misogyny smh
- Learning about the Unforgivable Curses for the first time and seeing the effect they have on people first hand was brutal
- Harry getting to spend some quality time with his dogfather ahhhh :((
- “Don't talk to me."
"Why not?"
"Because I want to fix that in my memory for ever. Draco Malfoy, the amazing bouncing ferret...” lmaooo I love Ron
- The thing that Harry will sorely miss is Ron T-T brb im emotional
- The introduction of the legendary Pensieve
- The Yule Ball was awkward in every way possible I love it
- Harry and Cedric building their trust slowly
- Mrs. Weasley and Bill stepping in as Harry's family 😭
- The graveyard scenes were genuinely terrifying. The Flesh, Blood, and Bone, Voldemort himself, the speech with the Death Eaters, him torturing Harry, the Priori Incantatem, and Harry talking with the dead...
- Moody's reveal as Barty Crouch Jr. and what he did to the actual Moody
- Dumbledore losing the twinkle in his eyes, then regaining it for a moment when he heard about Voldemort taking Harry's blood into him
- Harry and Sirius again
- Harry hugging on to Mrs. Weasley and crying, "He had no memory of ever being hugged like this, as though by a mother. The full weight of everything he had seen that night seemed to fall in upon him as Mrs Weasley held him to her. His mother’s face, his father’s voice, the sight of Cedric, dead on the ground, all started spinning in his head until he could hardly bear it, until he was screwing his face up against the howl of misery fighting to get out of him."
- Harry refusing to attend the dinners, you can see how much Cedric's death impacted him
- That final speech by Dumbledore "Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.
- Harry giving his Tournament winnings to the Weasley twins
- All in all, this book is a banger
