All Bets Are Off Review

I loved this book, devoured it in a day. This is one of those books that I wish I could recommend to every person I come across. It isn’t for everyone though. It’s a dark bully romance reverse harem and when I tell you the bullying is bad, please believe me. Please check all the triggers because this book does not mess around.

I have never loved and hated characters so much in my life. All the men are trash but I have faith that they can redeem themselves. I look forward to seeing it happen. Except Carson. He can just disappear and never come back. The women in this book are bada$$. Bri and Shelby are freaking amazing. They give off bad b energy throughout the book. Even when it seems like Bri is weak you remember how she got where she is and realize how strong she actually is. Everyone deserves a best friend like Shelby. She is one of my favorite characters of the whole book.

I already want book 2 and I just finished this one. These 2 ladies have outdone themselves with this. As far as redemption for these men I will accept nothing less than them worshiping Bri like the queen she is by the end of this series.

Lots of filler

Wanted to love this book, but I caught myself skimming 50% of it. I feel it could have been half the length. Also, if you were wanting a strong FMC, this is NOT the book.

Omg these author wrote an amazing book. Please check your triggers as this book is dark. This is a bully romance reverse harem. This book is the set up for the reverse harem. Bri wow she is a strong person. With the cliffhanger I cant wait for book two. Hudson, Zaid, Eli and Ash all I can say is grovel.

If the 4 guys and Brielle were casual friends or if she left town for years before coming back, the story would have been more believable. How they can be so stupid and blind to their suppose soulmate's pain? Ridiculous.

Ashton is a doormat to the other 3.
I also have no idea how these 4 have this deep friendship/family feeling when they always fight and have nothing in common. They barely spend time together or talk. Their relationship is superficial at best.

Brielle thinks she has her back to a wall with Carson, so she choses to not tell her family or her harem but still has no problem telling Shelby and Jake... I don't remember which guy say that the 4 of them have more money and power than Carson, so why WHY doesn't she tell them?! It makes no sense. Why let Shelby dig into Carson's computer when she knows he has the video that can put her in jail?! MAKES NO SENSE. She has more trust in the roommate she met a few months ago than her BFFs.

What in the world did I just read?!?!

*Be sure to read trigger warnings because it gets intense!*

I received this as an ARC for an honest review … so here it goes …

I am a fan of both authors, Samantha Bee and G.N. Wright, so I was very excited to be able to read something written by the both of them … and they did not hold back!

This was my first foray into a dark bully romance. I’m not sure this should have been my first experience with the trope, but needless to say, it hooked my me. However, I’m still not sure if I like it, love it, detest it, or am disgusted by it … or am a little bit of all of the above.

You want a villain you can truly despise and hate … this book is for you! (Carson … I’ve got your number!)
You want a strong female lead character who you adore, want to protect, and think is incredibly strong in the face of so much adversity … this book is for you! (Brielle … stay strong my dear!)
You want 4 alpha male best friends turned into lost jerks who do despicable things because their sunshine is taken away from them … this book is for you! (Ashton, Elias, Hudson, & Zaiden … don’t give up hope!)

Cliffhangers are one of my least favorite things in the book world, and yet, I read this one. It helped knowing when I went in that this was the first, but the fact that I have to wait months to find out what happens next is beyond frustrating … but here I am, doing it anyway.

All Bets Are Off … what an apt title for an amazing story!

This is an incredible dark RH bully romance. It is captivating with the drama, angst and secrets. I am loving this co-authoring duet of GN Wright and Samantha Bee. They conveyed the emotions so well they were palpable and made you feel right with the characters. I am now completely invested in this series and it is only book 1. I am very excited to read what will happen in the next books.
