The tortured artist. He's like the bad boy of the art world. You know you should stay away but he lures you in with his passion, his insight, his sensitivity. This is the predicament that Ava finds herself in when she meets Max. With each page turn, Ava falls deeper into Max's world of noisy color, rough edgy texture, but most of all, beauty. I loveloveloved the imagery the author conjured up when describing the paintings in the story. It would be interesting to see how other readers interpreted each piece of art work in the story. I also loved that the author mentioned some great places in LA that I hadn't heard about. The places discussed in the story are definitely places I'll have to check out next time I'm in LA. I'm looking forward to other books in this series.

Wow, that was heavy. Max has a loud messy mind.It was hard sometimes to accept him. He was frustrating, selfish and just too much.
Ava is truly an angel for keeping up with him.
Ava calmed him down, but didn't cure him.He needed the help all along.
I wish he gave them a chance and stopped protecting her. He was too focused on his past and clinging to the party thing and the string of girls. He needed to let it go and just ease himself into something new with Ava.
Ava liked too much even close to loving him. I think she was fascinated by Jonathon and attracted sexually to him, no more deeper feelings.
Not liking Jonathon at all!
Jess is an amazing friend, but sometimes too tough.
I love Dylan and Riley , they are do sweet. I just hope Dylan would stop blaming Ava for everything.
Excited to start on the second story and see where our mysterious Max is hiding!!
