This was an amazing audio production with parts of the chapters narrated as traditional audiobooks with other sections with duet narration and sound effects which brought the story to life.
I love that this story is told in Charlie's POV, who has autism and works at a deli. I love how the story unfolded with wanting to know what does Charlie really know.

A little convoluted but still a fun story. The portrayal of the autistic girl felt a little heavy handed but fairly accurate based on my experiences with a child on the spectrum. There are bits where there’s a full cast and I really could have done without the full cast teenage make out scene.

WTF .. was that. I'm sorry but this is the last time I'm reading anything from this author . The writing style is so messy.
I realised I didn't care for this book when I had an hour left and at that point I might as well complete this book.
The beginning was a solid 3 and I thought the autistic pov was written in an interesting way but I'm doubtful of the representation accuracy.
The half narration half audio drama style was ok but I didn't think I added anything to the plot.

+ great narration by Paige Layle
+ the protagonist narrates the story well (first person), withholding information at the right time, autism portrayed accurately, as a part of the story (not only for diversity-credit)
- killing people was depicted almost natural in this story, some of the murderers didn’t seem to be very touched by their murdering someone

This was a good audiobook! It kept me engaged and interested the whole time, but there were moments were I wanted to scream at the characters for not realizing something sooner. Felt a little predictable at end, but I still enjoyed it.
