Cute, brings you right back to old Percy Jackson with the same humor but a little more grown up.

It hasn't been too long having finished PJO, for me. And yet.
This felt like a weird and wonderful rush of nostalgia, being able to read from Percy's POV. His inner monologues, his commentary, his never-failing-to-make-me-laugh-out-loud. <3
This was an adorable and wholesome low-stakes (was it, though???) book, that somehow made Percy's Percy-ness even more lovable and prominent (talking about mr. water god guy among others, small waves and whatnot) than all of his more life-threatening adventures.
I loved our trio per usual, along the shenanigans you would expect. Percy and Annabeth <33 as well as the moments in the Jackson-Blofis family were just—smiling-until-it-hurts kind of wholesome.
Overall, I cannot accurately express my love for PJO. These characters and their stories will stay with me for a long, long time.
P.S. Thank you Mr. Riordan. I refuse to believe you did not write these with, at least, a little magic.

Ahhhh my heart.
This book is so good. I laughed, I cried, I read passaged aloud to anyone in earshot who would listen. Rick Riordan has done it again, creating his own nostalgia trap for old readers and a lovely fresh introduction to Percy Jackson for new.
This was a light, fast, easy read, with a lot to think about baked in.
The main tension is internal, bringing us into Percy’s own struggles and hopes for a future he never thought he’d get. The stakes are incredibly personal, and it’s astonishing how well that works. The fights are unique and clever and the drama unfolds in lovely ways.
All in all, I was highly entertained, learned more about even more greek mythology, and enjoyed returning to old friends.
Thanks for giving us even more Percy, Uncle Rick!
