What was different about this particular novel in the series is that I felt it revolved much more around Lindsay, and the other three women in the Club were put on the backburner. Without that interaction and drama in the relationships, this novel really juiced more of the criminal acts occurring. Patterson tends to focus on the crimes and catching the bad guy. In The 6th Target, Patterson has decided to follow a court hearing for a crime in the beginning of the novel. Alongside this story is the whodunit, common with Patterson's novels.

Overall, it was a good read. It made me reexamine my thoughts on Lindsay Boxer, the main character. I recommend this novel for anyone following the Women's Murder Club series.

Well, that was a cliff-hanger! Intrigue, suspense, and friends looking out for each other–couldn’t ask for more from this series.

This is one of the Women's Murder Club series. The story line was a bit weak. Patterson "co-wrote" this with another author and sometimes it seems that he is so anxious to add more books to his franchise that a new, creative plot gets lost in the rush to publish. We listened to this in the car and it was okay but we've certainly read and listened to better books from him. Maybe the characters in this series are just becoming tiresome to me.

One of the things I really like about James Patterson is that his stories are constantly moving. Making it hard to put them down. The short (2-4 page) chapters also make the books go much faster.

While not of one the better "Women's Murder Club" stories, it was fast-paced and action-packed. This time, Lindsay and her friends are handling three cases at once -- a murder spree on a ferry, a kidnapping, and seemingly random murders at the apartment building of one of the members.

In all, a good, quick read. I started it at about 11pm, last night, fell asleep reading and read when I woke up the morning. If you want something you can get lost in for a few hours and also finish in a few hours, then this book (and series) is for you.
