The comic does a good job of fleshing out arguably the most interesting character from the third star wars trilogy.

The back story is satisfying. Most ends are tied up to get you to believe this is the origin story of the Kylo Ren you know.

Another instance that on its own I don't know if this would be as engaging to someone not entrenched in star wars lore, as for me I rate it based on what it lends to the overall universe

Really enjoyed this (as heartbreaking as it was). Would've loved to have seen at least some of this backstory on screen but oh well.

This comic definitely helped seal a lot of what the movies tried to emphasize, by letting us see more of Ben’s background and why he’s struggled for so long.

”And when it mattered, I was stronger than Luke Skywalker.”

I wish we’d seen more of this in the movies. As is Ben was very one-dimensional, in my opinion, and this really fleshed him out. Being feared from step one is so lonely, so isolating, and it makes his choices make sense.

I really enjoyed the art style in this comic, too! You can clearly tell who everyone is (when they’re based on their film counterparts) and the new characters blended in well. A neat realism. Voe was my favorite; I can understand that angry jealousy she felt.

I’m super glad I picked this up! It’s always fun to take another foray into the space-land that is Star Wars.

It’s cool and I am really interested by more stories to flesh out the post-OT Star Wars galaxy, but the art falters a bit. Felt awkward for Sliney to continually try to make sure that we see ADAM DRIVER on the page

I loved being able to finally get more on Ben's character and the birth of Kylo Ren, if only another media would have done it...yes I'm looking at you sequels.......but it also hurt so much knowing Ben's fate, seeing his struggle and conflict between light and dark... One quote especially hit me with a lot of pain but truth:
Spoiler "Whether it's Luke Skywalker or Snoke, neither one sees me as a person. I'm just a...legacy. Just a set of expectations."

I kinda wish it was longer honestly or we would get more, like a novel for example
I just...BEN SOLO DESERVED BETTER THANK YOU BYE

First off, the cover art for this is absolutely amazing. Unfortunately what was inside wasn’t really what I expected according to the cover. That being said, I was very intrigued by the first issue to the point that I had to continue to issue 2 immediately.
I really liked the plot of these. They show the incident with Luke and the Knights of Ren. It does so by jumping through time in an interesting way, teasing the plot points, and keeping the whole story very fast-paced, tense, and mysterious.
I really felt for Ben in this story and it was honestly really sad.
My only problem with it was that it was way too little. Much too short. And not enough background. I need like 10 more honestly.

Should have been six issues, at least. Could have fleshed out more time with the Knights of Ren, done a couple missions with Ren as leader. I was really excited during previews, but this was disappointing.

This was alright. It filled in some of the gaps that the new movies created, but not all of them. It shows a little bit of where Snoke came from, answers who the Knights of Ren are, and gives some character background for Kylo Ren. But it did not fully explain why he was such a moody, angsty punk all the time.
