The Drew children help their Great-Uncle Merry and Will Stanton recover the stolen grail. I love all the stuff about the tradition of the Greenwitch - it reminds me of Diana Wynne Jones' Drowned Ammet, presumably both based on a real festival or tradition.

This was just as enjoyable and well written as book two of the Dark is Rising sequence. I liked that the author brought together the characters from the first two books as it added some interesting interactions. Without a doubt it would be better to have read books one and two before reading this third installment.

This is just a fun quick read in the series.

I appreciate the strong female protagonists in the series, especially this book.
