I liked the interaction of the characters better than the ghost story. At the end I wanted more.

Christmassy Gothic-lite with sentimentality and melodrama. Not as bad as it sounds, actually, and was fairly entertaining. But it could have been more fun with a well-developed ghost.

Yes, that's right. Sometimes the thing that holds your story back is the lack of a well-developed ghost.

A longer short. Classic victorian; a ghost story for christmas! Really well written, very gothic and dramatic - and oh so spooky. Fitting for an October read as well!

Originally published under LMA's pseudonym A.M. Barnard. Set during Christmas time, this fun thriller feels like a game of clue or one of Agatha Christie's novels. A fun, charming story.
