Highlights

Yadano Makeru trying to beat Komi at the physical health examination at school was hilarious 😂

➽ I really related to the way Komi is nervous about Najimi and Tadano visiting her house for the first time, as she never brought anyone over before!

Yamai is introduced and that girl has issues! She's one of the prettiest, most popular girls and has an intense crush on Komi that borders on obsessive. At times this is a bit too creepy tbh, poor Komi!

➽ I loved them visiting the Ramen shop and Agari being a huge foodie!

➽ It was so funny learning what Tadano was like in junior high and how he tried too hard to be an extraordinary person ... but promptly failed 😂

➽ The shopping trip with Komi was also fun, especially as they held a competition on who could find her the best outfit ... it turned out to be Tadano 😉

I’m really enjoying this slice-of-life series, and as someone with social anxiety myself, I can relate a lot of my high school experiences to Komi’s. Love the strong friendship elements in this series too. (But this volume introduces a character that does some not-okay things — see content warnings — that made me uncomfortable. She’s in future volumes too, just not as much.)
