Title: Noc City
Author: Penn Cassidy
Series: Noc City #1
Rating: ☆☆☆☆☆

Noc City is the second book I've read by Penn Cassidy and she's steadily becoming one of my favorite authors. I love the way she writes; her descriptions, the characters and storyline are all so enticing, it made it easy to get swept into the story quite quickly.

Vampires. Werewolves. Witches. Humans. Darklings. Oh my. Noc City is exactly that, a city that is considered a safe haven for the paranormal population. Each species are suppose to live in Noc City along side each other in harmony due to a coexist treaty but there are humans who look at the other species as savages, abominations and want to make the humans the more powerful species. Unrest and tension builds throughout the city as females from each faction of the paranormal population are being taken. Everyone knows that Ryan Harker, human senator that they believe is behind the kidnappings and  isn't who he portrays himself to be when he's in front of the camera. He hates everything thats not human so three vampires: Atlas, Faust, and Merrick decide they have to find out what's happening to the women that are being taken when Atlas's sister has been taken and will stop at nothing to find her. So they kidnap the senators daughter, Serenity, in hopes of getting vital information. But will they get the information they want and so desperately need? Will Serenity want to help them?

This book was action packed from the very beginning. There's 3 hot vampires and a badass fmc who has been dealt some s**t cards but seeing her finally fight back made me like her even more. Of course the book ended with quite a cliffhanger; one I didn't see coming. I can't get over how much I like the way Cassidy writes and the you can't help but become fully immersed in the characters and story. If I had to rate how much I recommend others to read this book it would be a 10/10.
