I have a lot to say. Not a fan of the writing style. Or Nicks grandma and mother Eleanor.
When she was talking about Rachel not being good enough it reminded me so much of my mother.
The only normal person in that was Phillip young, nicks father. Idk just wow. I love Rachel and her mom’s relationship. I understand why she did what she did. Amazing. Kinda drawn out, like half of it was chicks talking about wealth and money and how much stuff they had. I didn’t hate Michael because he was also the only normal guy
but the way he reacted towards wealth, but come on man that was a coward move. Anything else would be better.
I mean it’s Astrid, me too man. Makes sense why Charlie is still head over heals for her, because same. And Colin was normal also. I love how genuinely tired he is (even if it’s like depression) there wasn’t really a lot of mental health issues present in it. So I’m glad we got a little of that in it. Bernard is a complete dick.  Fuck him. So overall I loved it, even though it was confusing to follow. I will not remember most of their names finishing the rest of the trilogy though

I'm a bit more critical because of all the hype this book gets.

It's good, not mindblowing, but good.
The story was a tad too slow for me, but the ending made it all worth it.

I was starting to feel fatigued with this book about halfway through. I think it was a combination of the detailed descriptions (I’m mixed on this—I enjoyed visualizing and immersing myself in the glitzy stuff but I also wanted the story to get on with it) and some of the very shallow characters. For example: Eddie. I don’t really understand the point of him being there other than to add an extra coating of crazy rich (which, again, while entertaining I just wanted the story to moooove). Once we got to the wedding everything started rolling and I couldn’t put the book down. Nick finally getting a clue and standing up for Rachel was so satisfying. I absolutely loved the last handful of pages where we learn about Kerry’s past. At first I wasn’t sure if I would continue on to the next book in the trilogy but now I’m interested to read more about what happens next, especially with Astrid.
