Quick novella I want to read before jumping into the series... It was nice, I enjoyed the writing and the magic world. It was fast and action packed, I already have book one with me so let's see when I will have time to read it but now it's definitely on my list ;)

Reread 2021
DNF at 20%. I’m not in the mood right now but I’ll get back to this series eventually. All I can say is, this is a great series/universe to start with for the urban fantasy/paranormal genres but it sure ain’t amazing.

A great prequel to the series. It left me wanting more. What happens to them after they establish the shop? What about the person who hunts them? We also got great insight into the world and I can't wait to learn more. Good job!

This book took me a while to read because the first ten pages or so were hard to get into. But when I finally read past that, the book was great. This prequel has made me want to read book one of Dragon's Gift: The Huntress, due to the writing style and intriguing characters and world. I hope that I will fall in love with the series, as there are an amazing amount of good looking books out in it!

I always find Linsey Hall's books to be intriguing and enjoyable. Every now and then, one is particularly good, but I always know I'm going to enjoy the book. Some stand out more than others, but in general, they are fun quick reads. I prefer her Shadow Guild and later works to these series, but they are still enjoyable.

I love that the author did a back story on how the girls got the point they were. Enjoyed this novella immensely.
