My notes reading this book:
The first half is soo booring. The fmc stays with the other guy because it s good for her financialy and intimately and she can t make up her mind about mmc.
The mmc is so akward and wants to be with her but at the same time he still keeps her at arms lenght. Is so weird that he break up with his girlfriend because it doesn t go smooth with his character.  A few dates don t make up for years lost berween them. And it takes sooo much time for them to take decisions. And their conversations are AKWARD.

The last half isn t any better.
It s confusing they stayed toghether. I didn t like how things ended.

I really hoped that at some point I am gonna start loving this book since childhood friends to lovers is one of my favorite trope, but I just didn t like the characters, their  descriptions of each other ( fmc said or thinked at some point that mmc body looks like a box of tools, really?!) and the way the story has been going...

Wow! Wow! This is definitely one of my favorite books that I’ve read this year. Elliot and Macy’s love story was equal parts heart breaking and beautiful. I can’t believe it took me this long to read it. The jumping between timelines perfectly enhanced the storytelling. I wish there was more.

Warning: This book had me pulling out love letters from relationships past and crying in bed at 3 AM.

Love & Other Words follows the story of Macy and Elliot, who meet when her father buys a cabin in the woods after her mother’s death. Throughout this story, Macy and Elliot’s relationship slowly develops from a friendship bonded over books to something more. However, one night changes everything, and it isn’t until eleven years and an engagement later that the two meet again.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I really enjoyed the dual timeline and thought the book did a good job of including scenes which showed the progression of Macy and Elliot’s relationship. This book is so well written and packed with emotion- I would highly recommend!
