Read the first one in a day and knew I had to have the second. Love this authors sense of humor!

Another fun romp in the Alaskan wilderness! I really enjoy the details about going into town, the float jackets, etc. Well written and funny - though I found myself wanting to strangle those brothers!

I got to the end of this book and was like...

description

But make no mistake, this book was funny. The antics of Helly's brothers and the other people of the Alaskan wilderness made for some interesting moments. I highly recommend that you read [b:Two Cabins, One Lake|25727873|Two Cabins, One Lake (Alaskan Romance, #1)|Shaye Marlow|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1434318048s/25727873.jpg|45564586] first before delving into this one. Suzy, gossip extraordinaire and barge captain, was a feisty little one. I absolutely adored her and her crazy ways. Her gold nugget has been stolen and she sets out to find out who took it. Top of her list is the former owner's son, Ed. Now Ed was mysterious and intriguing. Suzy realizes that she doesn't know much about him and sets out to find out more information by asking him to help her on her boat. Ed was so damn nice! And very handy and helpful. He had this quiet intensity but was also all alpha when he needed to be. I loved how Suzy discovered things about him and how their attraction for one another went from simmering to boiling in a flash.

I'm liking this series and look forward to reading the next one.
