The first time I’ve actually read a substantial amount of a Flash comic, and it was great! Had a really fun time with it and am excited to continue the run sometime

I am not totally sure how I really felt about this volume. This reminds me a lot of the show, though I have to say I have recently fallen out of love with the series. I had a hard time getting into this volume as I wasn't really digging the art but as the volume went on I really started to like it. I really enjoyed Godspeed and Avery so I'm hoping to pick up volume 2 soon.

The Flash isn't one of my favorite characters, but I understand why his story is so important and essential to the overall theme of DC's Rebirth line. I'll be interesting in seeing where his character development goes in future volumes that I read and also how he plays into the overall concept that these characters have lost so much time.

As I was reading this I was constantly comparing it to the New 52 reboot and this just did not meet those expectations. In part I think thats because this isn't actually a full reboot but that just left me confused.
There were references to things from all over the DC universe and at times it really felt like I needed to be reading 3 others comics from the DC universe to keep track of whats happening. On top of that there are now 2 Wally Wests one of whom I think used to be the Flash.
The story arc in this volume was interesting but the pace of the storytelling was off. I understand that since most comics are published monthly this can happen but it just felt like alot of things where happening too quickly for me to become invested and care.
I'm interested to see what happens with the female speedsters introduced here but I'm not sure there is enough for me to come back with the next volume.
