First, lemme start off by saying (or writing), Eva looks really bad-ass in the cover. I think this would have to be my favorite cover. As the last book, I think it was most definitely the strongest. Not just in plot and storyline, but character development as well. Eva was really such a naive character and you could still notice her development throughout this last book. To be honest, I grew fond of her courage and leadership. The relationships Eva had with each and every one of the characters was so wonderfully sweet, especially her strong bond with Rovender. Rovender is really the father figure in her life, and he gave her so much guidance. In the first book, Muthr had died, leaving Eva all alone. One of my most hated tropes is when a parent or guardian dies and leaves the main character alone. The truth is, a child can fulfill their destiny with help and guidance. Rovee was exactly that type of character and I really appreciated what he did. Overall, I thought this was a satisfying and fantastic conclusion to the series.

Fabulous! I loved the way this ended :) Eva's character is strong and I loved how mature she became through her journey, you can't help but love and root for her! The creativity of this trilogy is superb, it didn't linger too long with too much explanation (which can be boring sometimes) and the action scenes were well written. Of course, the illustrations were awesome as well... I just love the whole thing, I can't say anything bad about it.
When I was younger, my mother read to my brother and me, like the Narnia books and such... When my kids are a little older, this will be one of the trilogies I choose to read to them :)

I am so sad to say this one was an excruciating read for me. I was as hyped as I could be for this one, but it let me down honestly. Everything I personally liked about the series got ripes off of this book. Is it a bad book? No. Was it a bad book for me? Yes. Ten times, yes.
I still recommend the series and I still have great memories from this trilogy too. But this one was a bit disappointing…

This was a very satisfying trilogy. I saw it in the YA section and felt I needed to read it...and I'm glad I did. I thought of myself as a young teen -- and I would have LOVED this book. The author did not rely on characters from other science fiction and fantasy, instead, every creature (except humans) is completely new. In addition, the the main character is a positive and strong protagonist, fully developed - a great read.
