I enjoyed this one, but I do feel like the author went off on some unrelated tangents that I wasn’t super interested in and they made the story drag on. But I found this book interesting nonetheless, and I enjoyed learning how the obsession with missing/murdered girls and women is portrayed in media.

I've only recently got into reading non-fiction and I was so excited to read this book, it felt like it would be right up my street. But like many other reviewers have pointed out this book is not really what it was marketed as which was hugely disappointing. Like so many of the books and shows the author talks about, we expect the story of the Dead Girl "but the story was elsewhere".
Another that bothered me with this is when celebrities were examined and the paparazzi and public's reaction and influence their lives was explored, the celebrities really didn't get much exploration and I felt like they were left as these one dimensional people that the media tends to portray them as. I just wasn't fond of the use of their stories.
