I have been eagerly awaiting this book since it was announced, and I am so happy to say it more than delivered on all my expectations and hopes! A fantastic addition to the a-spec literary canon, I wholeheartedly believe this book will change lives.

I was lucky enough to read Dear Wendy as a beta reader in 2021 and I can easily say that this book is amazing ! The characters are easy to love and the story is full of heart. Zhao has such amazing control over her words and is able to tell a a story that feels so personal and touching.

I love this book so much. It feels like a warm hug and is very slice-of-life at times. It’s a love letter to Wellesley College and queer friendships and makes really important insights about asexuality. The characters are all wonderful and extremely likable. The author builds a world you wish you were part of!
