I am really happy that kids will have a Graphic Novel that explains animal allergies to a Middle Grade age group. My only real complaint is that after finishing this book, it’ll feel like there really is NO Animals that they can have, unless it’s a fish. After going through all of the allergy shots, all she ends up with is a fish. Seems so sad and unrealistic... or maybe it’s just realistic and disappointing.

"Allergic" was such a sweet story and is perfect for middle grade readers struggling with allergies or other issues that put limitations on them. The art is adorable, and the story is easy to follow and emotional.
