A truly wild story! It’s short but full of interesting details about life under the Pinochet dictatorship in Chile, which was already showing cracks at the time of this director’s clandestine visit.

The big flaw in this book is that the story tells about the actions surrounding the making of a film with hardly any information about the film itself. Okay, so they went to a square and filmed, but filmed what? And why? Without knowing what they are filming it is hard to take the dangers of the filming seriously.

Interesting story that I had not known about previously. I wish there was actually more or more about what happened afterwards. Also at times it felt it went a little too fast and then focused for a few pages on items not as important. Good read overall!

This book made me realize how little we know about horrible things that happened with our South America people - and made me wonder what I’d do in a situation like Littin’s. Makes you think about how you are as a person.
