This was just okay for me. Probably because of the questionable handling of gender issues. The last line ate though. "I miss you dreadfully" okay Heinlein I'll give you that one.

Amazing. I watched a film that was based on it and love it and then figured out it was Heinlein so that explains why! One of my favorite shorts.

My first impression with this short story is that it will evolve into some fantasy elements whom I will be imagining flying carpets and magic wands, little did I know, that those elements are not in need for me just to be moved by how magical this story has been. I’ll be frankly honest to everyone, but this story is one of a kind. It makes me suffer the real pain of understanding the element of a short story whose focus is on a single thing only unlike novels that focus on many aspects as it unfolds. And yes, I read this for about 9 times before realizing and understanding clearly what it really is about.

I am still fascinated by how Robert Heinlein turns the story into something like that in the end, the plot is very interesting that you’ll ask yourself if it’s possible in real life and how magical it would be. You’ll be impressed as well with the “characters” in the story as it unfolds.

One thing I can say: this piece of art is a treasure for literature. I’m so glad and proud I’ve got to read this because it opens up many possibilities and ideas for me on how to be creative enough when it comes to writing. This story is the real epitome of the “forever without end.”

Hands down and hats off, Robert Heinlein.
