A beautiful blend of intriguing mystery, humour and heart. I never felt that one aspect was sacrificed for another - it is superbly well-balanced. I fell in love with the characters in the first book and I fell in love with them all over again in this one. I can’t recommend this series enough and I can’t wait to see what trouble the Thursday Murder Club gets into next.

I really enjoyed this sequel! It was fast paced and it kept me entertained! I do feel like some events got a bit confusing and hard to follow, but I loved the book regardless! I’m excited to continue with the series!

The characters felt well fleshed out. There were a lot of them, but the author handled it well. I actually enjoyed this better than the first book.

About the Finnish translation & audiobook: Mun mielestä käännös oli hyvin onnistunut, ei ainakaan kuulostanut tönköltä. Toimi hyvin äänikirjana. Lukijalla oli kyllä aika unettava ääni :D

This was an excellent followup from book 1, with a tighter and more action packed mystery but the same loveable characters and light humour.

Sequels don’t usually hit the same as their predecessors. BUT. The Man Who Died Twice may have been even better than The Thursday Murder Club. I LOVED the focus on spies and the deeper dive into Elizabeth’s past. It was a book I never wanted to end! I laughed out loud many a time and marked several pages to go back to later. Soooo excellent!!!

Grabbing me in the same fashion as the first, I made my way slower through the first half of the book but by the end, I couldn't put it down until I had reached that final page. Witty, clever and full of character, the Thursday Murder Club strikes again.
