Fun cosy murder mystery. A little far fetched at times. I enjoyed all the little modern day culture references and the fact that there were a few intertwined stories that left me guessing for a while.

The characters felt well fleshed out. There were a lot of them, but the author handled it well. I actually enjoyed this better than the first book.

About the Finnish translation & audiobook: Mun mielestä käännös oli hyvin onnistunut, ei ainakaan kuulostanut tönköltä. Toimi hyvin äänikirjana. Lukijalla oli kyllä aika unettava ääni :D

Grabbing me in the same fashion as the first, I made my way slower through the first half of the book but by the end, I couldn't put it down until I had reached that final page. Witty, clever and full of character, the Thursday Murder Club strikes again.

"More women are murdering people these days," says Joyce. "If you ignore the context, it is a real sign of progress."

Gosh, I love these characters and these mysteries. I really don't know how Osman manages to make these stories so emotional and so hilarious all at once, but reading these books feels so similar to spending an afternoon with my grandma after she's imbibed half a bottle of vodka and watched one too many episodes of Longmire on Netflix.

We follow this zany group of geriatric sleuths as yet another mystery falls into their laps. This time, we don't just have the local police department, but MI6, a school teacher turned drug tycoon, revenge, and the power of social media.

I can't give much detail without spoiling previous events, but all of our (surviving) characters are back and their relationships and depth is unparalleled. You will laugh. You will wonder. You will feel the bone-deep ache of sorrow. You will have a great time and, when it's over, you'll check the release date for book three and find out it comes out in September 2022 and text your cousin and she'll scream and you'll scream and it'll be wonderful.
