There was a lot of italics, which made them meaningless. The character descriptions, he was lean with this color eyes copy and paste for every single character. When referring to another member of the six we get their name and their “name” we get it, they are the gods. Speaking of names they are all basic sounding names with two of them having nearly identical names (Hallie and Hailey). These along with mediocre writing led to me DNFing at 50 pages.

DNF. I got the chapter 6 and couldn't take it anymore. First up, character names. I get they're named after god's, but the first letters don't have to match up when their names are SO CLOSE. We have Hallie and Hailey (who goes by Hales) and we have Harry and Zach Hail (who gets called Hail sometimes unless that was someone talking to Hailey). And sometimes the characters slip with their God names and 3 of them start with H. Can't keep them straight. That might seem like a minor inconvenience, but with a book solely focused on dialogue to move the plot (at least as far as I got), you have to know who is being spoken to/about. Very irritating. But not as irritating as the bickering. After so many immature "shut up NAME" I couldn't take much more. Then there was the countless "what do you mean?" or "what are you talking about?" or just "what?" Get to the point, man, the characters sound stupid and incapable of figuring things out on their own. As another reviewer stated, it spells out every single detail like word vomit. This is what this character looks like, this is what this one looks like. Here's this one's personality, this one is this way. Chop chop, laid on a plate for the reader.

this book is SO well written written!

the story is so so interesting and there isn’t any part of the plot that i found boring, i couldn’t not put it down!!

i always love greek mythology and reading about it like this was an amazing experience, i annotated the heck out of this book

and the way it ended??? I NEED ANSWERS, Harry’s gotta be alive right??? and where the hell are they?

i literally cannot wait for the second book, i need like tomorrow

the only confusing part was the names, Hailey and Hallie, but other than that everything was perfection, chefs kiss

I HATE the writing style, couldn't reach past page 26. Also, why are all their names so similair? Way to make it impossible for the reader to remember who is who. I also think that splitting the book between six different main characters doesn't work, epecially for such a short book. It means that none of them get any depth or personality.

I love the idea of the characters in the book and the build up for the story. However, the pace is too fast and events are not well described. Still got a good read from it, but I won't continue on the next book.

mythologie grecque - Titans vs Olympiens - réécriture moderne
