It was a nice story over all. But for some reason I nerve felt a true romantic connection between the two. It always felt one sided  and there was a lot of hate, a but of it unnecessary too.

4.5 stars for me.

Now, I've waited for another Dacian's book since forever, I didn't read it when it first came out and I'm thankful because I would have been waiting a SUPER long time for that. When I saw this was a M/M Romance, I was even MORE excited to read it. When I found out it was novella length? I felt bummed. Is it because it's a m/m that it's shorter? Because there will be less people interested?

After reading, I didn't actually mind that it was shorter. We'd already met the characters previously so we knew a fair amount about them, and there's still heaps of action and lots of things going on. I will say the erotic scenes seemed very... vocal compared to others in the series and I was wiggling out whenever he screamed out demon and not his name, but overall, I really enjoyed this story.

Now, I refused to read the 8 chapter excerpt for the book because I did it with the last book and it made me SO impatient for the rest of the book that I decided to delete this from my kindle as soon as it said the end. I'm sure someone will start talking about it soon and kinda spoil it for me, but that's life these days. I did think it was expensive for a novella, but also understand nearly all things this big are etc, and the excerpt it kinda nice for money - if the next book isn't also a high price.

I wanna know more about the daciano girl, more about the dacianos in general really. More about Kristoff, still want to see the phantom again, and it's killing me seeing little clues about each character in each book! Can't wait for the next IAD!

As usual Kresley Cole is the master of paranormal romance! I have read this book before but did a reread because the audiobook just came out. I was impressed by how both Mirceo and Caspian are likable even though they are so different. I particularly impressed that I liked Mirceo even in the beginning when he was so full of himself. I liked also liked how this book played with age. It added interesting depth to Caspian’s character. Rereading this one made me even more excited for Kosmina’s book coming out next year. Also I had forgotten how spicy this book is! Definitely recommend this one and the whole immortals after dark series!

I liked this one, lots of chemistry.   The angst did last a bit long, and it ended in a cliffhanger.   Can't wait for Mina's book.

I'm so glad that my IAD withdrawal has been temporarily sated. Did I looooove this story? No. But I really enjoyed it, nevertheless. There's something about Kresley Cole's writing that sucks you in and gets you invested in some of the petty and ridiculous hijinks that these immortals get up to. This is one of the books in this series that requires a A LOT of suspension of disbelief. A lot of things magically resolved themselves, which is expected from a PNR but this time...hmmm, too good to be true. There were loopholes, that even I, someone who doesn't always keep up with details, noticed.

But don't get me wrong, as a fan I was highly entertained. This combined two of my favorite genres: M/M and PNR, and did it well. I think this could be one of KC's first MM romances, but her writing prowess allowed her to seamlessly fly through some of the expected issues you'd expect from a first time writer of a genre.

My favorite character in this book was Mirceo, who reminded me a lot of Josephine from the previous book. He was vain, mouthy and a tad immature for a 30-year-old vamp. His mate, Cap, was perfect for him. I'd really love to see more of him in future books. And their ass-kicking duo needs at least a subplot in the final book when all of these Loreans finally get together for the final show down.

I miss Nix in this one. And this plot doesn't touch on the upcoming Ascension as much as I would've liked. We also got a lot of cameos from the rest of the Dacians, and I now am so excited for the next book.
