I really liked this book but man do these characters piss me off. A book that makes makes me mad for all the right reasons deserves a high rating.

We're supposed to hate the men but Ayoola and Karebe pissed me off the most. If I had a sister as ungrateful and self-absorbed as Ayoola, I'd off her myself. Karebe, you are implicated in multiple murders because of your sister yet you still protect her? Even after how she treats you? You deserve to sit with the guilt and may you never know peace. Screw family and culture.

I picked this book up and was genuinely stunned (what turned out to be a few hours later) to realize I'd come to the last page without putting it down. The detail so deftly packed into such few words is really impressive (and Braithwaite's an addictive writer to boot)
Definitely involves some dark topics, so tread carefully if you're sensitive to those - but they're not gratuitous or insensitively handled.

Audiobook

I've heard a lot of praise about this book, so I went in hoping for something good, but also slightly nervous of it being all hype no delivery. I wasn't disappointed...loved it!

It's a fast-paced jump into dysfunctional family dynamics; a younger sister who is killing off her partners, and an older sister who feels she must help with the clean-up.

Highly recommend the audiobook; Weruche Opia was a fantastic narrator
