Liked almost all of these selections, especially the excerpts from Herland.

Creepy and fascinating... especially from a modern-day lens.

Essential second wave feminist reading for men and women but probably just women because men don't usually read books written by women. Oh well.

I really enjoyed the titular story, but unfortunately I became less interested with each subsequent story.

My first exploration of feminist literature... I have to thank my English 102 prof for this gift; without this, I'd have never read Herland, and what a dish of a book that one is! The Yellow Wallpaper is one of my favourite short stories of all time! Madness will never be portrayed so elegantly.

I loved this collection. Everything after the Yellow Wallpaper was made of such wishful dreaming that it was almost as sad as the Yellow Wallpaper. Sucks that she's a racist.

gonna go ahead and put this one down. four stars for the short stories + Herland excerpt; they were awesome. the essays were hard to get through though when i'd rather just be reading something else.
