This is the most literary book I have ever read and unfortunately I wasn’t quite in the right headspace for it when I was reading it but was determined to keep going. I did absolutely love it all the same!
I have never highlighted this many sections before, it managed to be both a love story and a powerful book about Black bodies, Black art, Black fragility and police brutality. I an absolutely going to re-read this at some point.
