excelente introdução sobre o assunto mais interessante de todos. Bauckham conseguiria apresentar um leigo completo ao Jesus histórico das escrituras e também conseguiu ajudar alguém já levemente introduzido a entender muitas outras coisas. belezura!

It's all in the title. Good, well written and reasoned essay on who is Jesus. Very accessible and thought provoking introduction. Confessionally orthodox in approach.

If you don’t want to dive into Bauckham’s very long (but phenomenal) book on Jesus then this is a great overview of his ideas with a healthy dose of the current state of historical jesus research

My fave of the Very Short Introduction series so far, and I've read a lot of them! Very informative in an accessible way, and the scope Bauckham chooses is just right (sometimes the entries in the series are too broad or too limited IMO.)

A rather nice overview. One downside is the author isn't being clear when his approach is historical or theological.
Mixing both approach can make for a bit of a mis-informed read.

A wonderfully focused and articulate account of Jesus' life, teachings, and significance. I imagine this book being a great gift for someone, particularly well educated, who would like to better understand the heart of Christian faith.
