I picked this up for something to read on my break at work.
“Pillow Thoughts” is a collection of poetry from Courtney Peppernell. This collection explores themes of both heartbreak and love.
I ended up physically reading about half of this collection, and then I found the audiobook to listen to the second half. It was really fun to be able to hear a collection of poetry from the author that wrote it. I was already enjoying this book before that experience, but listening to the author read her own words really enhanced my experience more.
I really enjoyed how this collection was organized. It is designed for you to read what you need to hear most. I love the idea of this because whether you are going through something difficult or deeply in love, I think anyone can find comfort in the words of this collection.
This was my first experience with Courtney Peppernell’s work, and it will certainly not be my last. Her words were beautifully strung together and I throughly enjoyed every moment of my reading experience.
I highly recommend this collection and I look forward to indulging in more from Courtney in the future.

A contemplative, heart-warming collection of poems, thoughts, and prose. Great for fans of Rupi Kaur, Nikita Gill and Hollie McNish

Was ich mochte:

The 2016 poetry collection Pillow Thoughts by Australien author Courtney Peppernell accumulates a collection of her poems in a total of seven parts.

Peppernell's poems talk heavily about human emotions and are seemingly influenced by her own experiences. I had a very good time reading them. They are very emotional and were able to even have me a little sobbing at some parts.

I loved her writing and I loved her poems. They were easy to understand but also left space for own interpretation.
I can and will recommend this book.
However, as always please take note of the content warnings before reading.
