Brody meets the ghost of a dead girl, who claims she was murdered and she needs his help to track down her killer and bring him to justice. Brody can barely believe he's talking to a ghost, let along being asked to be a detective and to train with the ghost of a samurai warrior! Fun, short, fast-paced manga-ish style graphic novel with great illustrations.

Purchased this because I watch and have learned some from Mark Crilley's YouTube Learn to Draw videos and he always plugs his books at the end of his videos.

The story jumps about a bit, and I read the book entirely in one 45 minute session. I'm on the fence. I can't decide if I like the story's potential enough to get the rest or not. I'm ambivalent.

I will say it wasn't awful and it was fascinating to see what Mr. Crilley demonstrates in the practical final result, as opposed to the drawings done on YT. If you haven't seen his videos, they're worth checking out. You'll pick up tips and ideas even if an experienced artist.

This one felt really short and like not much was going on. Hopefully it picks up in the next book!

I really liked the art and the characters and I like where the story is going, but this comic was a little bit too short. Nothing major happened this volume. I'm guessing I'll have to wait for the next volume.
I do really appreciate the author and his work so I will definately be reading the rest of the series

It was good, but not great. I just don't care for the main character, Brody. He's a putz, but I wasn't given enough to see him as a lovable putz that I could root for. He just seemed like the guy the author chose to have cool things happen to. I suppose I wanted more depth. I liked the character design for Talia, however, and the art was clean and competent—even appealing—so the production felt professional. I will probably pick up the second volume to see if the story picks up.

This is a pretty short graphic novel, but I really like it. The drawings made me stare at each page just admiring each detail. The dialogue is also very appealing to me. I think I'm gonna finish the rest of the series today.

Brody's Ghost is a graphic novel series centered around a sad man named Brody who finds out he can see ghosts (hence the title...). After a bad breakup with his girlfriend, Nicole, he lets his life get into ruin, until one day, while he is on the sidewalk busking for change, he sees a ghost. Later on, he finds out the ghost is named Talia, and she has a mission for him. She introduces him to an unusual mentor that helps him get his life back into shape and gives him purpose in the world.

I read books 1-3, as that is all that's been published as of right now, and it was AMAZING! I couldn't put it down. The drawing style is quite good, and there are artist notes at the end of each volume that explain the thought behind many of the characters and locations in the book. The story ends on a cliffhanger at the end of each book, and I'm so mad I have to wait until at least March to find out what happens next!!
