I really enjoyed this one! can't wait to watch the movie later today. If you're looking for a quick, thrilling read, I'd highly recommend this. - R.

This book was FANTASTIC. I didn’t expect the twist at all and Mary Higgins Clark writes it beautifully. It’s not too gory, but still has you hooked. If you liked the show Murder, She Wrote, you’ll love this!

My second MHC book and it did not disappoint!
This one had an interesting premise, and I think it worked but I also think the story could have been shortened. At some points, I thought it was getting very repetitive. About 100 pages from the end, I found myself thinking "when is this going to end?!" Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't boring. It was just circling around a couple times and I found that to be unnecessary.
Dr. Susan was a likeable character. She is a former assistant DA turned psychologist, so the fact that she has law experience made her investigation more believable.
We got POVs from so many characters in this book. It allowed for many red herrings, but also it seemed like almost too much.
But obviously the suspense in this one is great. It definitely kept me guessing.
Overall, great story! If you're new to MHC, though, I'm not sure I would choose this as a first book because it wasn't as enticing as the other one I read (Pretend You Don't See Her). This is still a good one, though!

Again, very gripping, but I have figured out the formula of these books: the killer is always the most handsome and eligible man, to throw readers off the scent. With this in mind I easily guessed the killer despite all red herrings thrown at us. (The exception to this rule is when the author reveals the identity of the killer to us in the beginning, in which case the killer is always an ugly, cold mannered doctor with a god complex.)
