This wasn't my favorite. I had the ending figured out before the big reveal so it was kind of a let down. I like to be surprised.

The characters were all cookie cutter versions of each other.... I had to keep going back to the beginning of chapters to figure out who was narrating because the only difference was the kids and the type of abuse or manipulation their husband was dishing out.

It's a very sad story without a long list of triggers so I'd look into those before reading.

Right from the beginning, I was hooked and eagerly anticipating what would unfold in the book. The story started with a bang, and I was completely engrossed, eager to uncover the answers to the questions of who did what, why it happened, and where everything went wrong. The tragic accident involving three friends left me with a lot of thoughts, especially considering the complexities between the families. While I was able to make sense of some of the details, there were others that left me shocked. Lucinda Berry has a remarkable talent for keeping her readers engaged, and I devoured the book

This book honestly reminds me of a ABC Family Drama Series squeezed into less than 300 pages. It was really good, but it was also difficult keeping up with all the characters in the book. All the women were similar to one another and it was hard to keep up with which children went to each mother and who was married to who. Also the ending kind of confused me because it came right out of nowhere. But overall, I really enjoyed this book and found it to be a quick, but thoughtful read.

Kind of cheesy, a lot of extra fluff that didn’t really contribute to the story

I thought the beginning was so intriguing and captivating but after that it felt as if the mystery was not an important portion anymore. It was just revolving around the 3 women’s lives which got very annoying after a while. The mystery was very obvious to me by the middle of the book and there was nothing thrilling. I wish this book revolved more around the lives of the kids than the mothers. But overall I was still enjoying what was being revealed about the boys and what ends up happening to the two boys who didn’t die that night.
