Absolutely loved this book! I picked it up on a clearance table ($1.46!) and thought it sounded familiar. I realized I had seen the lifetime movie made from the book with Heather Locklear. I thought why not? I liked the tv movie and at that price I had nothing to lose. Well, I read it in one day. Couldn't put it down. It had so much more than the tv movie. I really liked the honesty about things we face as mothers/wives today. A great story about a woman living with divorce and the challenges during and after that she faces. All her friends are married and she deals with a lot of soul searching finding the correct path for herself and her children for the future. Can't wait to read more by this author.

Chick lit. It had been quite a few months since I had read that type of book. I usually go thru these in one sitting. No change with this one. It's an enjoyable romp but it's like eating cotton candy, lots of air and sugar. Jacqueline, 39, newly divorced, with 2 kids, her ex dating, living with a 20 years old. All the clichés and conventions of romance novel under the guise of serious chick lit. Jacky goes to Hawaii for a week's vacation alone (because the married girlfriend cancels at the very last minute), meets gorgeous surf instructor, has fling with said gorgeous boy toy. After that... it's goes the way of cheesy romance novels. Fun and light reading.
