I’ve finished this on Jan 4th, but cause of school I forgot to write a review. But as you can see I finish this book in around 6 days, a 540 pages book!
well we should also consider the fact I was on winter break. but still I hold my point: I read through this so fast.
•mild spoilers•
it bring me joy to read this and surprisingly I didn’t think Clary was stupid although I did think one event Clary acted too impulsive, but I understand why.
not until I read this book did I realize how much I miss and love Jace. okay for some reason after reading city of glass and city of fallen angels, I didn’t really have any feeling toward Jace. while clary I just didn’t really like before. Jace, I like him in the first book but then somehow my love just drifted; especially after I read TID.
I just love Will Herondale so much!
oh that reminds me, I love all the TID references made in this! I definitely recommend reading TID before City of Lost Souls. it’s so bittersweet though, and omg all the —— can’t spoil for you guys but I gasp out loud and like my heart skip a beat whenever Will is mention by a certain someone.
I love the story, it seems so good! and for some reason, I’m find with the pacing; usually the pacing is quite dragged out for me but this time it’s fine.
overall, this was an unexpected surprise. maybe my love for TMI could be blooming, and let’s see what’ll happen to this love in the final book.

So I'm complete and utter trash for this series now. Book 5 absolutely blew me away with action/romance/plot-packed amazingness. Simon and Izzy... ugh!!! 😍 love them so much I can't even...
