This book was the first of the Narnia's I read and I immediately fell in love with it, the characters are not all cutesy cutesy like other fantasy books and they compliment each other well. The story is imaginative and engrossing and the land of Narnia is mystical and magical and somewhere I really really want to go...yes I do still check the back of my wardrobe every so often

A re-read for the first time since I was a kid… really obvious religious story parallels that I missed when I was younger. Not for me.

I’m a grown woman so I was not the target audience of this book. It was alright. I definitely aged out of this kind of story a long time ago. I  prefer fantasies with more meat on their bones, but as this is a classic I gave it a go! I can definitely understand why this has been a popular book for kids for decades.
