Thought it was ok but thought it could of gave us more information about Myrnin, about his past or mental decline. It only really tells us a short tale from his past, I feel let down slightly by the story. Do not think this helps understanding of Myrnin. Don't think I will read this book again.

Myrnin has quickly become one of my favorite vampires ever, so I liked this story because it gave some more information about his backstory, but it was extremely short and doesn't necessarily answer any of the many questions I'd have about this character.

Loved this short story of Myrnin's beginnings, of how he became his master's apprentice, and I need to read more!

Just when I finally started to get into the story- it ended! I love Myrnin, but this just didn’t do it for me. I would love for him to get his own book so that we can get a real insight on his character, but unfortunately I don’t think that’s likely.

Truthfully the three stars are generous, simply because Myrnin is my favourite character throughout the series.

This little snippet is nothing more than the tale of how Myrnin is passed off from his mother to his mentor. It does not reflect his change into a vampire or his steady decline into insanity. Honestly, with his character there was a whole lot which could have been written and yet this is all we’re given.

Frankly, I feel cheated…

I actually read this in 2012, but as it's a short story I read online and not full length book, I don't want it counting towards my Goodreads Reading Challenge.

I love Myrnin, so a little (very little, wish there was more!) glimpse into his past was great! If you're a Myrnin fan you should give this a read. It might help give a bit of clarity into his character.
