This is the worst and stupidest book ever written. Do not waste your time. I am baffled at all the high praise it has received. The plot is lackluster, the characters are neither lovable nor sympathetic. As I read, I felt like the author was just trying SO HARD to come up with the most outrageous and absurd characters and plot lines they could, and it did not work for them. Truly a horror and a waste of time unless you like incest and bad writing.

This book was incredibly weird and disturbing and I loved it. At times it was simultaneously hard to read yet impossible to put down. It is wonderfully written, the characters so vivid and visceral in their descriptions. It has some profoundly dark plot points, though, so it might not be for everyone.

This is without a doubt the weirdest book I've ever read. I loved it. Absolutely unforgettable. I can see myself coming back to it again and again.

At times it's not an easy book to stomach. There are things that will shock and repulse far more than the things you expect. But it's well worth a read, and you come away with more sense of love and humor than any of the horrific acts that took place.
