Kylie Strange left California to start a new life in Muddy Bog, Maine, after her cheating boyfriend did her wrong. When she was renovating the shop in which she planned to open a tea/herb shop, she unknowingly found and opened a book that released evil spirits out into the world. Kylie is tasked with retrieving all the spirits that are released with the aid of Erasmus Dark, a demon who is bound to the Booke of the Hidden. She is helped by a small coven of white witches who must battle a band of devil-worshippers, led by the brother of the Muddy Bog sheriff. Kylie is torn between her interest in the sheriff and the unmistakable attraction of the demon, Erasmus. More adventures await as Kylie learns her powers and comes to know her ancestors who also fought escaped evil spirits. Great characters and an interesting plot makes for entertaining reading.
