I remember reading about this story, and it is delivered in such a sweet and touching way in this book. The art is beautiful, and you can feel the love on every page. I cried.

I keep saying: picture books are a great medium for non-fiction stories. This one is another great example of that. We had some great discussions after the story, and we really enjoyed the pictures of the family.

I teared up a bit reading this. It's very sweet, and I like happy endings.

A sweet, true story about finding what/who is meant to be family with love leading the way. Written in second person as if telling the "how we came to be" story directly to the adopted child.
Would pair well with picture books about families, birth / adoption stories, and Pride reads.
