I picked this up because I heard someone compare Linda, the main character, to Olivia Bensen. I don't know if I agree with that, but I did like this book.

As an issue #1, it's pretty slow to start. Linda is a detective who works in the Jail Crimes Division, a unit dedicated to investigating crimes that occur while behind bars. There has been a murder/suicide and Linda isn't buying the company line.

The story is okay, but based off of the cliff hanger at the end, I need to read the next issue. Of course I already special ordered #2 and #3 at my comic book shop, so I'm getting it either way. But I am intrigued enough to read those issues.

The art is gritty and dark and there is some very interesting line work with the shadows on people's faces.

This is a gritty and realistic book, it's not holding anything back. I'm definitely going to finish out the storyline and see where it goes.
