No ha estado mal, pero no entiendo lo que ha querido transmitir ni la idea exacta del relato. A ver, entiendo lo que ha pasado, pero el final no.

"Blue, green, grey, white, or black; smooth, ruffled, or mountainous; that ocean is not silent."

A description of a voyage into mystical lands following an azure bird of heavens.

I really liked how Lovecraft presented the story with the moral that 'one shouldn't bite more than they can chew. '
Throughout the story, we as readers are taken on a journey and presented with lands, each unique in itself and each having a secret of its own. The protagonist wishes to enter a utopian world that is full of grandeur and overflowing with happiness. Even after reaching one such place, he starts yearning for more. This shows that basic human nature is fickle and we can never be content with anything even after achieving what we currently wanted the most.

The outcome of pursuing such greed is never bright and we soon witness the demise when the protagonist loses what could have been a blissful life of eternity.

A pretty straightforward mood piece that reminds me of how good Lovecraft's writing can be, but without much substance to it.

Not bad, but not mind blowing. It reads like a cautionary tale, which is not bad, but was really too fast to really care about the characters at all. Short and sweet, still pretty good read.

Committed to fantastic scenery (and imaginings of what that scenery could be), there isn't really much else to recommend this story. It's kind of stock fantasy without any real meaningful texture.

One of my favorite Lovecraft stories, and one that is not quite the same as his other works. Fantastic beautiful imagery with a longing fairy tale to go along with. Gorgeous and unique.
